PRE-EVALUATION HOCKEY CAMPS

In conjunction with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, FMMHA will be holding Pre-Evaluation camps at the Casman Centre. These camps will be for Novice to Bantam aged players.
The minimum ice time will be 2 sessions of 1.25 hrs (total of 2.5)with a cost of $40.00.
The specific division ice time schedule will depend on the number of participants registered per division. There is enough ice time for 2 groups per division.
Here are the dates for each division.

Tryouts for the Atom, Pee Wee, Bantam & Midget AA Teams will commence on Monday August 30th, 2010 at Frank Lacorix Arena. All of these ice times are at Frank Lacroix Arena.
There is a $20 fee to try out for the AA Teams payable when you come to your ice time.

Camp 1 - Hockey SchoolDuration: August 16-20 2010
Instructors include Fran Gow and Gord Thibodeau, Head Coaches in Alberta Junior Hockey A League. Cost of the camp is $295 per player. Open to players from Novice to Bantam.
Camp Focus:
- Instruction and development of fundamental skills
- Dryland training
- Staking instruction - technique and theory
- Game day coordination & preparation practices
Camp 2 - Conditioning & Prep Camp
Duration: August 21-24 2010
Cost of the conditioning camp is $260 per player. Open to players from Novice to Midget.
Camp Focus:
- Hockey specific drill sessions
- On ice conditioning sessions
- Off ice strength and conditioning circuits
- High tempo drill structure
- Position specific drill design
- Coordinated game scenarios
You can register for these Camps through the Hockey Canada Registry System or at the Minor Hockey Office. Placement in the camp will only be confirmed once payment is received. If you register through the Hockey Canada Registry System, you will be asked the same questions than the FMMHA Registration (e.g. volunteers, Bingo, etc). If you already registered, just ignore these questions. You may have to re-enter/confirm your home phone number and emergency contact information (just a feature of the HCR that cannot be overridden by FMMHA).

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

All members of the Fort McMurray Minor Hockey Association are invited and encouraged to attend and participate to the Annual General Meeting this week on Wednesday April 28th at 7:30 PM at Frank Lacroix Arena. We will run joint AGMs for the Fort McMurray Minor Hockey Association, the Wood Buffalo Ice Hockey Development Society and the Wood Buffalo Athletic Club.
The agenda of the AGM include reports on last season, an overview of plans for next season and the election of Executive Officers including the positions of President, Vice President (Operations), Vice-President (Administration), Treasurer, Secretary (or Secretary-Treasurer). In accordance with the by-laws, all executive officers are elected annually. Members interested to be nominated for election may contact the President of the Association if they need information on the duties and responsibilities of such positions.
