Fort McMurray Minor Hockey is proud to share an exciting evolution within our program!

As we continue aligning with tiered programs across Alberta, our Junior Oil Barons A and B teams will be moving to an alternate name that reflects both structure and history within our region.

 

We are thrilled to officially announce the return of a historic name to our brand…

   

 WOOD BUFFALO MERCHANTS 

Our Tiered program teams will now proudly compete under the Wood Buffalo Merchants name — bringing back a name rooted in our community’s hockey history while aligning programs across the province.

This change represents growth, tradition, and unity within our organization. While the name evolves, our commitment to development, competition, and community pride remains stronger than ever.

Let’s welcome back the Merchants and continue building something special together.
