FMMHA RUNS ON VOLUNTEERS

Volunteering with the Fort McMurray Minor Hockey Association (FMMHA) is essential for our community and the growth of our young athletes. Each registration requires a 5-hour volunteer commitment per child, allowing us to provide better coaching, more development opportunities, and a stronger hockey community.

By volunteering, parents help ensure our events are well-organized and enjoyable, creating lasting friendships and memories for both athletes and families.

Your involvement is crucial to the success of FMMHA and the positive experiences of our children.

VOLUNTEER AWARDS

FMMHA is pleased to present our annual awards to deserving individuals! Without our volunteers, our organization would cease to exist. While we appreciate and acknowledge every level of participation and service, we are proud to recognize outstanding contributions in several categories. This year, we honor the Coach of the Year for both Travel teams and WBHL teams, the Manager of the Year, and the Volunteer of the Year in two categories: Executives, Directors, and Chairs, and General Overall. Thank you to all our volunteers for your dedication and support.

One recipient will be chosen from nominated volunteers who are considered to have made an outstanding contribution in each category to FMMHA for the current season.  The nominee may have participated in special events,  general administration chores, support the Angel Hours or a variety of other roles. The recipient will have dedicated a significant amount of hours and leadership in growing minor hockey for our community.

One recipient will be chosen from nominated team managers who are considered to have made an outstanding contribution to FMMHA for the current season. The recipient will have managed their  team over and above the minimum guidelines and standards set out by FMMHA, provided a truly supportive role for coaches and parents, and was instrumental in the success of the team.
