Coach Philosophy
To have an environment that encourages athletes to learn and develop on and off the playing field, to create a positive learning environment in good and bad times. To make the game fun both on the ice and off, while encouraging each player to grow both as an athlete and person. To have players be respectful of each other, their parents, coaches and everyone that they are representing while part of this team. Making sure that the players love to come to the rink, team function or dryland. Understanding that these are young players who are going to make mistakes, teaching them the correct way to complete things properly, not by discipline, but rather by constructive criticism. Making sure that every player gets to experience every situation, make mistakes and learn from those mistakes. Knowing that success is not measured by the end of the year wins and losses, but your ability as a coach to teach every player, as different as they are, and have them excited about the start of next season.
