Vice President of Operations
The Vice President of WBHL Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Hockey Operations for the Wood Buffalo Hockey League (WBHL), which includes U11 to U18 House League and the Intro to Hockey Program (U7 and U9). As a voting member of the FMMHA Executive Board, this role is a vital part of the association’s decision-making structure.
Reporting directly to the President of FMMHA, the VP of WBHL Operations is accountable for upholding the standards of the program by issuing discipline when necessary and managing conflicts involving coaches, players, and families.
This position provides leadership and oversight to the WBHL Hockey Operations Committee, made up of volunteer directors and support staff. The VP ensures that all programming aligns with FMMHA policies, Hockey Alberta regulations, and the values of the association.

Time Commitment: 1500 hours annually
Travel Commitment: 1 weekend annually for Hockey Alberta AGM, and must be available to attend Female league AGMs and planning meetings

Vice President of WBHL Hockey Operations
- 2.11.4.1. Will select and Oversee division directors for each WBHL age group and be
responsible for the direct supervision of any paid employee or contractor to
support the WBHL teams ( Coach mentor) - 2.11.4.2. Will oversee any appeals on team discipline and dynamics that are escalated from
the WBHL division directors - 2.11.4.3. Will oversee day to day hockey operations both internally and externally for the
association Community Teams, Intro to Hockey Program and Wood Buffalo Hockey
League. - 2.11.4.4. Will oversee player Evaluation policy and be responsible for tiering divisions within
Wood Buffalo Hockey League. - 2.11.4.6. Will Chair and oversee the WBHL Hockey Operations Committee
- 2.11.4.7. Will oversee the WBHL rules and regulations
- 2.11.4.8. Will oversee any appeals on policy and directives for WBHL Hockey operations
- 2.11.4.9. Will arrange within hockey operations for attendance at various league meetings
- 2.11.4.10. Will report to the President

Effective facilitation and communication skills, particularly in leading meetings and discussions with large groups.

Comfort and proficiency with digital tools, including Gmail, Google Docs, SurveyMonkey, SignUpGenius, and social media platforms, to ensure efficient and modern team and program management.
