The 2025–2026 hockey season is just around the corner, and planning is already underway! Fort McMurray Minor Hockey Association (FMMHA) is currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our leadership team as Directors or Committee Chairs.

Serving in one of these roles is a rewarding way to give back to the hockey community, help guide the future of the association, and gain valuable experience in leadership, governance, and teamwork.

Taking on a Director or Chair position:

  • Deepens your involvement in the hockey community.
  • Helps shape policies, programs, and long-term goals.
  • Builds experience and leadership skills you can apply in other areas of life or career.

FMMHA operates through five key Operations Committees, each with its own structure and goals. These committees report to the FMMHA Executive Board, where major decisions and appointments are finalized.

If you are interested in applying, please send an Expression of Interest (if you are interested in multiple roles. You do not need to submit a separate application for each role. Just indicate all the roles you are interested in)

Selection Process:

  • The Chair of the appropriate Operations Committee will contact all applicants for an informal conversation.
  • Based on those discussions, the Chair will bring forward recommendations to the Executive Board.
  • The FMMHA Executive Board will make final appointments after the AGM.

🔁 Note: Current Directors in good standing may return to their roles. All listed vacancies are roles where a Director has chosen to step away for the upcoming season.

These roles are critical to our organization’s success and require a meaningful time commitment. While the experience is rewarding and provides great skill-building opportunities, each role demands dedication, teamwork, and a commitment to advancing FMMHA’s mission.
