Vice President of Rep Operations
The Vice President of Rep Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Hockey Operations for the Bouchier Junior Oil Barons and Huskies programs. As a voting member of the FMMHA Executive Board, this individual plays a key role in the association’s decision-making structure.
Reporting directly to the President of FMMHA, the VP Rep Operations serves as the Program Governor for all travel teams. They are accountable for upholding the integrity and standards of the programs by issuing discipline as required and managing conflicts involving coaches, players, and families.
This position provides leadership and oversight to both paid program staff and volunteer directors associated with the Rep programs. Additionally, the VP Rep Operations is responsible for managing and maintaining the association's relationship with the program sponsor, ensuring all sponsorship agreements are honored.
Time Commitment: 1500 hours annually
Travel Commitment: 1 weekend annually for Hockey Alberta AGM, and must be available to attend elite league AGMs and planning meetings

Vice President of Rep Operations
- 2.11.3.1. Will oversee day to day Administration of operations both internally and
externally for the Junior Oil Barons program and the Huskies Female program. - 2.11.3.2. Will select and oversee Junior Oil Barons Director and Huskies Division and be
responsible for the direct supervision of any paid employee or contractor to
support the rep travel programs ( Coach mentor, Trainors) - 2.11.3.3. Will Chair and oversee the Rep Operations Committee
- 2.11.3.4. Will oversee any appeals on policy and directives for rep Hockey operations
- 2.11.3.5. Will oversee any appeals on team discipline and dynamics that are escalated from
the Huskies and Junior Oil Barons Program directors. - 2.11.3.6. Will be FMMHA’s Zone 2 Hockey Alberta liaison and attend required meetings
- 2.11.3.7. Will oversee and execute the Rep Coach Selection Policy and will review all final
candidate recommendations to the Executive committee to be approved by
majority vote. - 2.11.3.8. Will oversee and execute the player Tryout directive and player evaluation policy
for the Junior Oil Barons and Huskies Programs. - 2.11.3.9. Will report to the President
Skills and Qualities:
The ideal nominee should have:
- Diplomacy, negotiation and collaboration skills
- An understanding of FMMHA operations and practices through prior experience in the prior positions on the FMMHA Board of Directors and/or significant exemplary coaching experience
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to respond immediately to queries, issues and requests for support and be willing to forgo planned personal activities when issue arise
- Strong facilitation skills to lead discussions with large groups of people
- An understanding of all Gsuite tools and the ability to use IT tools required for operations: Gmail, google Docs, Survey Monkey, Sign up Genius, Social Media Tools.
