Bouchier Graduating Award

The commitment to hockey is strong for so many athletes and the focus on education needs to be just as strong to ensure a successful transition to the next stage as both student and athlete.
Bouchier would like to support your commitment to growth and development by awarding a $1000.00 scholarship to 2 players who are graduating from Jr. Oil Barons and moving on to pursue their post-secondary education

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Must be in their graduating year of U18 eligibility and be a player for either the U18AA or U18A team this year.
- Must have demonstrated satisfactory attitude and effort in high school subjects.
- Must have demonstrated an exceptional attitude and strong commitment on and off the ice to their team - specifically in respect to sportsmanship, team play, attitude and dedication to the game.
- Must be planning to attend a post -secondary program (including all trades) in the fall.
Selection Procedure
Applicants must complete the application form in full and provide three reference letters in support of this application. Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of enrollment prior to receiving scholarship funding.
The panel, comprised of representatives from the community, FMMHA and Bouchier, will select recipients based on academic achievement, hockey dedication, commitment, and coachability. The successful candidate must be a last year U18 AA or A graduate and moving on to post-secondary education in the upcoming school year.

It will be used by the Fort McMurray Minor Hockey Association to help determine successful award applicants.
