The Rep Hockey Operations Committee oversees the day-to-day operations and long-term planning for FMMHA’s Rep Travel Programs: the Junior Oil Barons and Huskies Female teams. Led by the VP of Rep Hockey Operations, the committee ensures all activities follow FMMHA policies and Hockey Alberta regulations.
What the Committee Does:
- Manages the daily operations of the rep programs
- Supports coaches, managers, and paid staff (trainers, coach mentors)
- Reviews and handles appeals related to policies, discipline, or team issues
- Oversees team budgets and spending
- Plans and runs tryouts and player evaluations
- Works with the Development team to improve training and development
- Collaborates with the Officials Committee to support local officials
- Oversees player rostering and affiliations
- Ensures coaches are certified and supports additional training
